Showroom Upgrade: Walking a Buyer Through Start, Navigate and Present

Start a session, navigate the home, present options, option details and search.

Walking a buyer through the New Showroom

This section follows one appointment from start to finish. Each step tells you what stays the same, what is different, and what to do.

Start a session

Status: Unchanged.

Start a session exactly as you do today.

  1. From the Higharc dashboard, open Plan Library.

  2. Find the plan in the Master Plans list, the list still shows plan name, base price, square footage and published date.

  3. Click the three dots … on the plan row.

  4. Choose View in Showroom, OR

  5. Copy public link and paste into your browser.

OR

  1. From the Higharc dashboard, click on the location you want to create a new home plan from.

  2. Click on Add

  3. Select Home Plan (Showroom)

The same menu still holds Download Documentation (PDF), Edit Plan Details, Copy Public Link, Configure Showroom Intro, View in Showroom Intro, View in Estimate and Open Studio File. Nothing has moved.

Plan Library → … menu → View in Showroom. Identical before and after the upgrade.

Navigate the home

Status: New way.

Today

A fixed left-hand rail lists the categories — Design, Entry, Living, Kitchen, Bed & Bath, Outdoor, Utility, Misc — and you work down the list. The 3D viewer sits on the right.

Current experience: category rail on the left, viewer on the right.

After the upgrade

The layout flips. The 3D viewer takes the whole left side of the screen and the options panel moves to the right. Instead of a rail, there is a single drop down control in the panel — it shows where you are, for example "Design: Elevations", and opens a dropdown of every category and subcategory in the home. This brings it in line with Showroom Intro.

  • Click the drop down to jump straight to any section — Design (Elevations, Palettes), Living (General, Dining), Kitchen (Cabinets), Bed & Bath (General, Owner’s Suite, Secondary Bath, Secondary Bed), Utility (Garage), Misc.

  • Or stay on the guided flow: each section ends with "Continue to ‹next section›" and "Back to ‹previous›", so you can walk the home in order without touching the navigator at all. You can also click on the right or left arrow next to the navigator to jump to the next or previous sections.

  • Exterior / Interior toggles, the floor-plan thumbnail, zoom and "Drag to explore" all behave as they do today.

Why this matters

Buyers rarely move through a home in the order the menu lists it. When they say "actually, go back to the garage", you are one click away instead of scrolling back through four categories.

The bigger viewer also means the house is the thing they are looking at, not the menu.

Upgrade: the navigator dropdown lists every category and subcategory — jump anywhere, or follow the flow.

Present the options

Status: Unchanged.

Option cards, radio selections, toggles, "Base" and "Included" badges and the live 3D update all work exactly as they do now. You present the same way you always have.

Option details

Status: New way.

Today, selecting an option shows a short description in a strip at the bottom of the viewer, and you often end up explaining the rest yourself.

After the upgrade the description sits inside the option card itself, so the buyer reads it while they are looking at the choice. Each option also carries an information icon that opens a full detail card — a large product photograph plus the complete description — and the image can be expanded to fill the screen.

Upgrade: descriptions are inline on the option cards, with an info icon for the full detail card.

Search

Status: Minor change.

The search box is still there, and you still use it the same way. What changed is what it finds.

  • Today it returns matching options.

  • After the upgrade it returns categories, subcategories, option sets and individual options — each row labelled with what it is — so searching "kitchen" takes you to the whole kitchen section, not just one kitchen option.

  • The search modal can be opened from the field in the panel or with the ⌘ + K (on Mac) or Ctrl + K (on PC) keyboard shortcut.

Upgrade: search results are labelled Category, Subcategory, Option Set or Option.
