Builder Dashboard
The default screen is the Builder Dashboard. This can be setup by the Community Manager.
Keep your Browser Clear
It is recommended to update your browser and clear your browser cache weekly to ensure the best experience using Higharc. Follow the steps in Troubleshooting Basics for detailed instructions.
Start a File
To Start a Studio File:
Select ‘Studio Files’ tab at the top of the screen or the button on the Builder Dashboard.
Open an existing file or select ‘+ New Studio File’.
Starting from a Launchpad File
It is recommend to start each studio file with a pre-existing launchpad, or template file. Typically, these starting files are set up by the account Implementation Lead or Specialist. Starting from a launchpad, rather than a blank Studio file, ensures all the necessary standardized settings, including document references, are consistent for each home file authored within an account.
Use the search and filter boxes makes it quick and easier to find the right files needed to start from.
For the launchpad you want to work from, select the three dots and choose 'Open'.
Once open, save a copy of the file and name it in order to begin editing and adding new content.
Add More Users to a File
The user who started the file becomes the Owner of the file by default. To add more Owners, Editors and Viewers to a file:
In the Inspector, Select the Home tab.
Select the arrow button next to the user name to add more users.
Search the new user’s name to locate them in the system.
Select the user you want to add to the file.
Select ‘Update’ when finished adding users.
Import a Reference File or CDM
To Import a Reference File or Central Data Model:
In the Inspector, under ‘Home’ select ‘+’ at ‘Document References’.
Then select the .home Studio file to use as a reference.
Check the Settings, Options, Layouts, etc to be imported.
Check the Document References frequently to import any updates made to the Reference file into the new file.
Read-Only Mode
When opening a file owned or created by another user, the file will be in 'Read-Only' mode.
To edit the file, either save it as a copy, like in the case of starting from a standardized Launchpad file, or be added as an editor to the file by the owner or account admin.
