What is currently on your product roadmap?

Higharc is extending the platform to support the purchasing and selections process with leading suppliers in the building industry and continuing to extend our industry-leading design automation system.

How long is typical on-boarding time?

On average, homes are model-ready (3D configurator) within 30 days and CD-ready within 90 days after all intake has been received. Timing varies based on total number of plans, type of implementation (new vs. existing plan), and the degree to which Higharc will conduct the implementation vs. training your own staff.

What information is required for set-up?

Our Central Data Model checklist guides intake required to start the implementation process. Most builders complete the intake process within 1-2 weeks.

What training and support is provided by Higharc?

Each customer is assigned a project team (led by a homebuilding professional) to support their needs, especially during the critical phases of intake, implementation and training. We use the first year to demonstrate proof of value and ensure key metrics are achieved. Higharc provides customized training to fit the needs of your team including virtual training, in-field training, self-guided videos - learn.higharc.com - to supplement the curriculum, as well as a robust knowledge base for users to reference. As part of onboarding, we provide support throughout the first year to ensure a seamless integration. For studio, we expect to have users operational in the first week and proficient shortly thereafter.

What is the process for setting up rules for our corporate best practices / divisions / communities?

Higharc is built for homebuilding and already includes a large portion of the rules and settings you will expect. During the first phase of implementation we will work with you to determine the settings for your corporate template. Higharc will create this template that includes all of the settings, options, building system and elevation styles that you will need. Establishing ‘overrides’ to the corporate settings at the base/division/community level can be completed in minutes.

Does Higharc integrate with my ERP?

Higharc supports several industry leading ERP systems through our ‘integration hub’ to allow data from Higharc to flow through to any system throughout your business.

How to report Issues, Bugs or New Features

Report any Issues and request new features by discussing with your Customer Success Manager during regular scheduled meetings or reach out to your team in your designated Slack channel.

How do Higharc Settings work?

Higharc settings are generalized at the top and controlled by overrides so that best practices can be specified throughout the business and combine together with data lower in the ‘tree’. This data is represented through all of the assets produced by Higharc including the construction documents, KBM export, customer facing marketing materials and renderings.

Do you support only single family homes or can we do other product types such as townhomes?

As of August 2026, Higharc now supports Townhomes (also as referred to as mutli-unit buildings) authoring, optioning, configuration and sales. See the Townhomes release notes for more information.

How does Higharc support garage handing (mirrored plans)?

Every plan in Higharc can be automatically and instantly mirrored. Our design automation algorithms have addressed dimension overlap and text realignment to show the mirrored plans accurately.

Our laundry rooms always have the washer on the left-hand side, dryer on the right. For a left-hand set of lot specific CD’s, the washer and dryer will need to flip, how is this done?

In authoring the homes in Higharc, garage handing is exposed as an option. The studio author may associate any item in the model with that option. The scenario above has been handled by Higharc customers to become completely automated.

Does Higharc provide engineering support?

Higharc does not provide support for civil or structural engineering. We do support the ability to reference existing documents into the automated plan sets based on the options defined by the operations team and the customer.

Is it possible to incorporate site related data into the lot specific plans?

Specific site-related data such as grade level and foundation offsets are supported natively in Higharc. Options may be configured to support basement conditions and variable exposure types. Site-specific 3D topography imports are not supported in the current release.

Are Higharc exports compatible with CAD?

Yes, Higharc has a DXF export option.

How does a Master set export with different configurations of the home for a consultant that needs CAD backgrounds? Can it be batch exported?

Higharc can batch export CAD documents that relate to ‘Presets’ of the model that are saved within Higharc Studio.

How do Options work?

Higharc builders maintain an option catalog that controls the option offerings across your business. These options are at the core of our system and are referenced by Higharc Studio to define the homes. Operations teams manage the non-customer facing options to configure homes for regions/communities. Finally the customer configures options in the configurator to determine the final outcome of the model.

How is a master set created with all of the available options?

Option presets are created in the Active panel in Studio, then loaded into the Master Plans tab in the home Inspector. After this setup, the download is available.

Are details drafted in Higharc or externally and imported in?

Details are drafted outside of Higharc and referenced into the system. The inclusion of these details may be associated with any Option in the catalog. Higharc is working towards the automation of detail drawings in a future release.

We have construction details per region. How are these details inserted into the master set of CD’s?

How do we control material items by division?

Product-level SKUs are defined in Higharc and relate to Catalogs. The author of a Higharc home model references a generic catalog item and this is resolved to the item that is required for purchasing based on the settings that are applied for the community.

Can I configure the Key Building Measure (KBM) output?

The KBM output has a standard format and may be customized to your needs. Your Builder Partnership lead will advise on understanding the target for the ideal workflow and the path to full automation.

How do Material Waste Factors work?

Material waste factors are assigned by entity type as a multiplier.

Is there a Masterset KBM in addition to lot specific exports? (How does it group the options? Does it have a +/- when an option removed materials from the base house and adds different materials.)

Higharc is actively developing the master / option delta BOM export that operates at the Master Plan level. The export includes a table for the base plan and each option in the catalog along with the entities added or removed.

Does Higharc support exterior/ nterior photo-real renderings?

Do I have control over the rendering styles?

Higharc will work with you to understand the exact deliverable needs for all aspects of the operation. From design submittals to field sets, we can easily and quickly customize your views.

What 3D content is available and what is the process for adding new 3D content? Can I import my existing 3D content?

Higharc maintains an extensive library of 3D content that is designed to our specifications. New content requests are managed as part of the intake process and are typically handled by our art team for optimal integration into plan sets, renderings and key building measures (KBM). Higharc supports the import of optimized mesh files that meet our content standards.
