Public Links
A “public link” refers to publicly-accessible URLs that you can share with your customers to customize a Home Plan, starting from either a Master Plan or Community Plan, using our Showroom configuration experience.
Getting Started
From your Account Settings page, underneath the Sales section, you can customize what information you collect from customers, such as their name, email address, and phone number. From here, you can also control whether or not a confirmation email is sent to the customer after the creation of their Home Plan.
The customer will be presented this form once they’re ready to submit their Home Plan; they’ll only be prompted for the information you require.
Master Plans
The public link for a Master Plan can be accessed from the Plan Library, by clicking on the Copy Public Link menu item for a given plan.
This link will take the user to Showroom, where they can customize their plan, without it needing to be assigned to a Community or Lot yet.
Once their Home Plan is created, you can move it into a Community by navigating to your Customer Plans tab within the Communities page.
When moving a plan into a Community, you’ll get to choose the Community Plan to associate it with, or create a new one if desired. If you decide to select an existing Community Plan, you’ll be notified if there are any incompatible Options that the customer originally selected.
Community Plans
The public link experience for Community Plans is similar to that of Master Plans, just with one less step, as you don’t need to move the newly-created Home Plan into a Community after the fact. From your Community page, you can copy the public link for a Community Plan from the menu for a given plan.
Home Plans
Any existing Home Plan can be shared with your customers too; you can either share the link with them directly, or have us send them an email. Navigate to any Home Plan and either copy its URL for sharing, or provide an email address to send the plan to.
Using Public Links
These links are meant to either be shared as:
A standalone link (e.g. linking out to https://app.higharc.com directly), or
An embedded view within an
iframeon your websiteThis allows you to keep the customer on your website, for marketing/tracking purposes
Public Link URL Structure
Note: If you’re looking to programmatically generate a public link URL, the structure is described here.
The URL format is as follows:
https://app.higharc.com/builders/:builderId/configure?planType=:planType&planId=:planId
There are three variables here to replace:
builderId- Your account’s IDplanType-master_plansorcommunity_plansplanId- The plan ID (a Master Plan, or a Community Plan)
Showroom iframe Best Practices
Note: When embedding a public link within an iframe, follow the guidelines below to ensure the best experience for your users.
Give the
iframeample space on your website for the best user experience. We recommend giving Higharc the full page width, and at least 85% of the view-port height.Do not include more than one Higharc
iframeper web page. You may experience performance issues if attempting to run more than one instance of Higharc at a time.Ensure the
iframehas the necessary permissions to use the clipboard (so customers can copy their Home Plan link after it is created). An example of how to properly set up youriframe:
<!-- The 'allow' attribute is critical for clipboard permissions in Google Chrome -->
<iframe

allow="clipboard-write self https://app.higharc.com"
height="85%"
width="100%"
/>
