Managing Master and Community Plans

Managing master and community-specific plans.

Plan Hierarchy

Plan management on the Higharc Platform has a layered setup – the four layers are:

  • Master Plans

  • Community Plans

  • Lot Community Plans

  • Home Plans

The four participate in a natural inheritance pattern allowing users to make changes at any layers, without affecting any of the parent layers.

This structure allows builders to be able to accommodate different locales by creating unique plans where they could modify what they need, and inherit everything else.

Master Plans

  • Builder Dashboard → Plan Library → Select Master Plan

Admin, Sales Manager

The Plan Library tab shows a list of all Master Plans available within a builder account.

Community Plans

Builder Dashboard → Locations → Select Location → Community Plans

Admin, Sales Manager

The Community Plans tab shows a list of all Community Plans available for the selected community.

Adding Community Plans

Select a community and then select the Community Plans tab and choose +New Community Plan to add a master plan to the community.

Modifying Community Plans

To modify a Community plan, click on the … icon to open a menu with the following actions:

  • Edit Plan Details: Change the name or price of the plan and enable or disable plan downloads.

  • Copy Public Link: Create a public URL that buyers can use to view a plan in Showroom.

  • View in Showroom: Opens the community plan in Showroom.

  • View in Estimate: Opens the community plan in Estimate.

  • Open Studio File: Opens the associated file in Studio [Drafter, Sales Manager, Admin].

  • Delete Plan: Deletes the Community Plan and all Home Plans associated with it. Available only for Admins and Sales managers. This action is not reversible. Community Plans and Home Plans deleted with this action are not recoverable.

Lot Community Plans

  • Builder Dashboard → Locations → Lots → Option Templates

Admin, Sales Manager

From your Lot list within a Community, you can click the three-dot menu to select from a list of “Option Templates” (Higharc’s terminology for plan-specific override) to edit. Any Community Plan marked as available to build on the lot will get an entry in this list —

Clicking on a plan here will take you to a lot-specific version of the same Plan Library UI as above, where you can make overrides that will only apply to Home Plans built on that lot.
