Overview
Townhomes in Showroom lets buyers and sales teams view multi-unit buildings at two levels of detail: the full building in context, or a single unit in focus. One Showroom can now support both whole-community presentation and unit-level shopping without requiring separate per-unit assets.
Full Building and Focus Mode
Viewing multi-unit buildings in Showroom is similar to viewing single family homes except for the ability to toggle between highlighting the entire building or a single unit. Highlight Unit Mode centers the orbit and interactions on the selected unit and fades out the non-selected units. Full Building Mode on the other hand restores the complete building context, showing all units together.
To switch between viewing modes:
Open a Townhome (multi-unit building) Masterplan in Showroom. By default, the 3D view will be set to Highlight Unit Mode.
To highlight a specific unit exterior, select the desired unit from the dropdown menu. Switching units in the dropdown changes which unit highlights within the 3D view.
In Highlight Unit Mode, scrolling and orbiting around the 3D view preserves the selected unit's origin and keeps it centered within the 3D window.
Switching to Full Building Mode removes the unit highlight and re-centers zooming and orbiting around the full building's origin.
If options are available on a per-unit basis, the current selection will be displayed in both Highlight Unit and Full Building modes.
Note: Full Building Mode is only available for viewing exteriors. Viewing interiors and floor plans will default to whichever unit is selected from the ‘Change Unit’ dropdown.
