Creating a New Home Plan
There are two ways to configure a new home plan at the community level:
Operations
Showroom
To create a new home plan, follow the steps below:
On the Home Plans tab, the Create a Home Plan dropdown arrow directs you to Showroom or Operations.
Showroom is intended for use with customers.
Operations is intended for sales managers or admin users.
Select the desired home plan and select Next.
Fill in the lot number, optional plan ID, category, sales agent, customer name, and/or discounts, if pricing is enabled.
Once the home plan is selected, the elevation style and color palette can be selected. This is located in the Design tab on the left pane.
The 3D configurator offers 360 degree views of the home, allowing you to view all angles before proceeding.
In the tabs below labeled Bed & Bath, Kitchen, Living, Outdoor, and Utility, interior and exterior options can be selected.
Toggle between the options on the left and the plan changes will take place in the middle of the screen.
You have the ability to switch between the 3D view, by selecting Exterior in the top left corner of the screen, Dollhouse View by selecting Interior, or the 2D plan, by selecting Floor Plan.
While designing a home in Floor Plan view, a blue outline on the floor plan indicates an enabled option.
Display base and optional electrical in Floor Plan view with the second toggle on right side of screen.
Once an option is selected, it will allow access and/or lock other options related to that selection. For example: A Study Area at Loft will not be available to select until the Double Height Living with Loft structural option is added.
A lock icon next to an option indicates it is not an available selection with the current option configuration.
The green circles shown on the plan are called Hotspots and allow for options to be added to a specific location on a floor plan. Hotspots may be disabled with the toggle at the top of the screen.
After options have been selected and reviewed, select the caret at the bottom left hand corner of your screen to expand the option details.
To proceed, click the Save button to return to the home plan page.
Generating a Sales Brochure
Generate a personalized sales brochure by selecting Sales Brochure (PDF) under Downloads on the home plan dashboard. Click the checkbox to agree to our Terms of Service and proceed with the download.
The personalized sales brochure represents a 1:1 match of all interior and exterior options selected for this particular home plan in Showroom.
There are four main pages on the sales brochure:
Page 1: Floor plan, lot info, and customer details
Page 2: Electrical plan (if enabled)
Page 3: List of configured options, option descriptions, and pricing (if enabled)
Page 4: Front, rear, and side elevations (if enabled)
Sharing a Plan
To share a home plan electronically, follow the steps below:
Click the Share link on the top right of the home plan page.
Email the link directly to a customer or copy a link to share electronically.
This feature allows customers to access their home in 3D, review options and pricing, download a sales brochure, and share with friends and family.
