September 29, 2026 🧮 Sharper Takeoffs: Casework Attributes & Roof Facade Street Orientation

Higharc Release Notes

Highlights

Updated Casework Attributes in Estimate — Casework now reports a new Catalog Type attribute with the name of the Studio catalog it comes from, so you can filter and map casework by catalog entry. Several attributes were also renamed for consistency with other categories: Tag is now Reported Name, Casework Type is now Casework Class, and Name is now Instance Name.

Street Orientation for Roof Facade Finishes — Exterior Finishes components that come from roof facades now report a Street Orientation value, matching the rest of your exterior finishes. This makes it easier to break out and price roof facade materials by elevation.

Disclaimer Text in Showroom Intro — You can now add your own disclaimer text beneath the Contact Us and Save buttons on the Showroom Intro page. The text only appears to home shoppers when you've filled it in.

🧾 For Estimating

Casework Attribute Updates

Casework attributes now follow the same naming used for Doors, Windows, Electrical, and Fixtures & Appliances. Here's what you'll see in the Estimate UI:

  • 🆕 A new Catalog Type attribute reports the name of the catalog the casework comes from. No value is reported when the casework is not defined in a Studio catalog.

  • Casework Tag has been renamed to Reported Name, and Casework Type has been renamed to Casework Class in the Estimate UI. Existing attribute references in workbooks will be preserved; no action is required.

  • Casework Name has been renamed to Instance Name.

Street Orientation for Roof Facade Finishes

  • Exterior Finishes components that come from roof facades now report a Street Orientation attribute value that indicates whether that finish appears on the front, rear, or side of the home. Use this information to filter or break out materials that may have a different price or SKU per application.

Linked Options in Estimate

  • When using linked options in Estimate, there is now the option to set the calculation of the deltas for the linked option to subtract out the contribution from the parent options. Go to Estimate Option settings and select the Use net values for linked options checkbox to enable this calculation.

When Use net values for linked options is checked, Estimate will calculate the following:

Deltas for Linked Option A + B = (Delta for Options A + B combined) - (Delta for Option A) - (Delta for Option B)

When Use net values for linked options is unchecked, Estimate will calculate the following:

Deltas for Linked Option A + B = (Delta for Options A + B combined)

Home Plan BOM by Option

  • In the Views selector when on the Bill of Materials tab for a configured home plan, there is now the ability to view a BOM by Option which breaks a configured home plan's final bill of materials into the quantities that can be attributed to the base house and each individual selected option.

For more information on the math behind the feature, please see this help article.

Fixes!

  • Roof Edge components are no longer double counted when multiple roofs are welded together. Components will be automatically updated; no action is required.

  • The Material attribute on sill and apron Exterior Door / Window Trim components now reports the value set in the Exterior Casing settings in Studio. Components will be automatically updated; no action is required.

  • Bulk deleting items or cost codes in the Integrations tab no longer shows a premature timeout error.

🧑‍💻 For API Users

Fixes!

  • The base-data and /location-plans/:id/options endpoints no longer return a 500 error for builders with very large option catalogs.

  • Master Plan STD price overrides set at the elevation level now apply to every elevation under that plan.

  • The Lots endpoint's offset and limit pagination parameters are now documented.
