Parameter Catalog & Custom Global Parameters
Migrated the parameter information that was previously located in the “Configure Global Parameters” modal in the Live Plans Explorer tab to a Global Parameter Catalog
There are now 3 types of parameters, each with unique applications & behavior. For more information, refer to the Knowledge Center.
System Parameters: built-in variables with predefined
Valuesthat are present in all Studio files. Some allow a user-definedDefault Value, or placeholder, for when the actualValueis unknown. TheDefault Valueis overridden with the actualValueduring export if one is defined at that location.[New] Global Parameters: user-defined & Document Referencable variables created in the Global Parameter Catalog and available across Live Plans. The
Default Valueis inserted at all parameter usages.Parameters: user-defined variables specific to a single Drawing, Sheet, or Plan Set Template. These can only be used within the template where they were created and do not appear in the Global Parameters Catalog. The
Default Valueis inserted at all parameter usages unless overridden at the instance level.
